Trigger Happy 2.0Trigger Happy 2.0 by Steven Poole
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I’ve had this one on the to-read pile for many, many moons. As such, I’m kind of in the dark as to why I put it there in the first place. This is just a collection of columns from Edge magazine, which in itself is not a negative thing.

However, bereft from temporal context most of these texts read stoic, safe and sometimes wrong. I found myself guessing about the author’s intended point of view and more than once cringing as I read the lines.

As a chronicle it’s merely fine. As a stand-alone look into the world of video games, it’s often baffling and not that good nor fun to read.
